Conservationists have asked us to kindly put forth these do’s and don'ts:
- No touching or harassing of any protected species, such as the gopher tortoise, indigo snake, scrub-jay or sandhill crane.
- No audible disturbances of any kind, especially near nesting sites.
- No planting of exotic, invasive or ornamental plant species; mowing or chopping of native vegetation; or feeding wildlife.
- All pets, particularly cats, must be on leashes.
- No motor-operated vehicles in nature area.
