Our staff of biologists, environmentalists and wildlife experts guide our planning process every step of the way. They search for the latest and most effective methods of conservation management. This active management of the land may take many forms including the eradication of invasive plant species, wetlands restoration, a program of controlled burns to help regenerate native grasses, and developing agreements to give Mother Nature a hand in helping to re-populate threatened or endangered species.
We do these things because JOE is in the “place-making” business. We know that making great places begins with an appreciation of the unique character of the land, and that the creation process must always be guided by an effort to preserve the qualities and attributes that make a place truly special.
